Mobile refinery

CAMBRIDGE University chemical engineering researchers have developed a mobile mini-refinery to convert rapeseed oil into bio-diesel – to be sold on to fleets and garages.

The idea is to truck the system to farmers at harvest time. The prototype can produce 40 litres of bio-diesel fuel an hour.
