LeasePlan UK looks for new MD

LEASEPLAN UK’s managing director Kevin McNally has been promoted to regional senior vice-president of LeasePlan Corporation NV Group.

In his new role as one of the company’s four regional senior VPs, Kevin will have overall responsibility for LeasePlan’s operations in a number of countries including the UK.

McNally has been with the company for nearly four years and before that was fleet sales director at Nissan UK. Under his leadership, LeasePlan’s UK operations have grown significantly and it now manages more than 130,000 vehicles for a wide variety of corporate and public sector clients.

He will officially move to his new role at the end of 2005. In the meantime, LeasePlan is recruiting for a new UK MD.

Vahid Daemi, chief operating officer at LeasePlan Corporation NV Group, said: 'Our goal is to be a top three fleet provider in every country we operate in, and Kevin has ensured that our UK operations are right on track. We look forward to using his skills and experience to grow our market share across his new region.'

LeasePlan operates 1.2 million vehicles in 26 countries worldwide. It is owned by a consortium made up of Volkswagen Group (50%) and internationally renowned co-investors, Olayan Group (25%) and Mubadala Development Company (25%).
