ACFO aims to provide fleet managers with the opportunity to network and is the largest organisation representing fleet operators and share best practice.

Through its website, acfo.org, fleet managers interested in joining the group can read up on its services and request a membership pack. The ‘about Acfo’ area will be the first to visit. This lays out all the benefits of membership, how to join and contact details.

The membership request link is located on a hyperlink on the homepage. It links through to an online form which can be quickly filled out. Acfo will then send out a membership pack in the post.

The website also presents non-members with the opportunity to attend its regional discussion meetings as a guest. A list of these meetings on the homepage makes it very quick for fleet managers to look up details. An email address of the co-ordinator in charge is provided if any details are missing.

The homepage is simple to use with a standard top menu linking through to the different sections of the site. There is a clever drop-down menu included on the homepage which allows users to click between different Acfo regions’ details.

Each regional section has contact details and the minutes for past meetings are also included in these sections.

The resources button on the top menu provides several links to helpful websites. Acfo is currently in the process of compiling a tax calculator and fuel consumption calculator for the site.

The news section compiles a list of up-to-date stories in an archive dating back to 2002.

Navigating around the site is a simple process. There isn’t anything fancy in the way of Flash animation or design, but all the links work smoothly.

This site is a great starting point for fleet managers looking for more information about Acfo. Users can easily obtain information which will help lead them to a face-to-face meeting with their peers.
