A RANGE of new models and support from specialist retailers has pushed sales at Vauxhall Mobility to a record high, climbing 8.5% year on year.

The group sold 44,678 units in 2005, with 13,843 sales from the new Zafira and 24,047 from the Astra.

Hayley Ingram, Motability sales and marketing manager for Vauxhall, Saab and Chevrolet, said: ‘We have made new models available to Motability Operations, the leasing arm of Motability, as soon as they were launched. We have also worked to ensure that there has been an intelligent mix of models, ensuring that our residual values have been protected.’

Motability is a national disability charity that helps disabled people fund cars or driving lessons.
