HOUSEHOLD appliance manufacturer Dyson has taken on more than 170 Ford Transit Connect vans for use by its service engineers.
The diesel vehicles, decked in a livery featuring images of its latest vacuum cleaner, are contract-hired through Lloyds TSB autolease on a four-year replacement cycle.
Engineers will use the long-wheelbase, high-roof vans to respond to customer calls.
The company said a high level of specification means the vans are well-received by staff using them.
Field service manager Malcolm Hind said: ‘We’ve specced them up with the six-way adjustable seats with lumbar adjustment and armrests plus air-conditioning, and they say it’s more like driving a comfortable car than a van. It makes their whole day easier and less stressful.’
