RENAULT increased global sales by 1.7% in 2005 to 2.53 million vehicles sold.

Outside Europe the Renault Group grew international sales by 21.1%. The Renault brand progressed by 11.4% outside Europe. The company remains Western Europe’s leading brand for LCVs and cars combined.

In Europe, Renault expects 2006 to see volumes growing slightly in generally stable but extremely competitive markets, and says its priority will remain profitability. The Renault Group’s financial results for 2005 and the medium-term plan for Renault will be presented on February 9.
