What’s been the highlight of the past few months?
Winning the Green Fleet award for Breakdown/Recovery Company of the Year as it reflects and rewards the efforts of my team.
What’s been your best career move?
Leaving school at 16 and doing an engineering apprenticeship and then returning to university later on. I really enjoyed the practical training and experience my apprenticeship gave me.
What’s the worst story you’ve heard at work?
One customer drove into a Kwik-Fit branch wanting a replacement tyre for a space saver wheel, having driven around that long on it without bothering to get the puncture on the original tyre fixed.
What piece of technology can you not do without?
It would have to be a car. I have a passion for climbing mountains in Scotland and the Lake District and the car allows me to get to those places.
What would be your dream job?
To buy and rebuild classic cars. I really enjoy working on those types of vehicle.
