SAAB is offering fleet buyers free satellite navigation on certain 9-3 models to reduce company car drivers’ benefit-in-kind tax bills.

The offer, available to all corporate fleets but excluding daily rental, bodyshop courtesy cars and fleet demonstrators, is available on 2006 model year 9-3 saloon, Sportwagon and Convertible models. The offer is not available on 2007 model year 9-3s.

Satellite navigation is usually a £1,980 optional extra in an infotainment upgrade pack, but as it is now included in the standard car’s price the P11D value is not affected.

The move, which will mean savings of up to £206 a year in benefit-in-kind tax for a 40% taxpayer, follows the launch two months ago of the fleet-specific Airflow range of Saabs which have extra equipment offered as standard.
