RODDY Graham, commercial director of Leasedrive Limited, is to be the new chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management. Outgoing chairman Tom Madden made the announcement at the ICFM’s Annual Member’s Conference today.

Madden steps down as chairman of the ICFM after nearly 12 years in the role. He retired as customer affairs director with BCA in July of this year and announced he would step down from his ICFM post during this year.

Graham takes up the chairmanship of the institute committed to ‘raising it’s profile even further and continuing to demonstrate the value that a well-trained fleet professional can deliver to any successful organisation’.

He said: ‘Training is one of the single most important issues facing the fleet and leasing industry. We must make sure the people we task with running the multi-billion £ UK fleet industry have the skills and support they need and the ICFM has a crucial role to play in achieving this.’

Madden said: ‘I have greatly enjoyed my time chairing the ICFM and tackling the ‘training inertia’ that exists within the UK fleet industry. There remains, however, much to be done and I and my Council have every confidence that Roddy Graham is a sound choice for his ability to steer the Institute forward.’
