LATEST appointments in the fleet industry.

  • KIA Motors UK has welcomed its new president, Byong Kwang Jang.

    Jang arrives from Kia Motors Corporation head office in Seoul, where he was director of export sales. He has also worked with Hyundai as a general manager and joined Kia in 2004. His role will be to ensure Kia’s continued growth as it prepares to launch four new vehicles in 2006.

  • ANDREW Fryer has been appointed as systems consultant by dealer management systems firm Pinewood. He will be responsible for new sales of the company’s software to dealers in the east of England. Fryer spent the last three years working for Avery Weightronics on electronic point of sale systems.

  • LOGISTICS company ByBox has appointed a new managing director to its field support division. Mark Garritt will oversee the company’s field service support operation. He has more than 18 years experience in distribution services with companies including Document Interlink, Insurance Courier Services and Hays DX. For the past two years has been working as ByBox’s commercial director responsible for sales and operations.

  • RENTAL firm Reflex Vehicle Solutions has recruited a national business development manager, Tony Cooper.

    He will work on developing Reflex’s business with national clients in the South and South West of England. Before joining Reflex, Cooper worked for Northgate and Hertz and has a range of industry recognised qualifications.

  • TERRY Byrne has been made operations manager for FLEXXi Lease, a division of CCL UK Group. Byrne joins after nine years with the Nuance Group. His responsibilities will include liaison with the branch network and fleet co-ordination departments within the CCL group.

  • NIGEL Bason has been appointed general manager of continental operations for car transportation firm VMEX. He plans to help the company expand on success in the UK and extend operations into Germany and Spain. Bason, who is based in Belgium, was previously with logistics company VLC in the city of Genk and working for Ford throughout Europe.

  • MOTORING finance firm Southern Finance has appointed Miles Roberts as managing director. Roberts is the former sales and marketing director at Singer and Friedlander Finance and has been in the motor finance industry for more than 20 years.
