TRAINING company NTP has signed a solus deal with Skoda for its 150-strong fleet – though fleet executives admit that drivers were initially unsure about the decision.

The company investigated several manufacturers before opting for Skoda and signing a three-year deal with the company.

Fleet and facilities manager Hannah Stuchfield said: ‘Although some staff showed hesitation at the decision, as soon as they drove the vehicles their fears dissipated and we have received extremely positive feedback to all the vehicles in the fleet.’

The company, which provides businesses with work-based learning solutions, has been supplied with a selection of Fabias and Octavias to be used by training assessors, consultants and managers.

Martin Burke, head of business sales for Skoda, said: ‘NTP has joined the likes of IKEA, Mencap, Marie Curie and Caterham Cars who have all switched to Skoda fleets in 2005, making it our most successful year for fleet sales in our 100-year history.’
