Fiat and Koc Holdings plan budget car

TURKISH car manufacturer Tofas – a joint venture between Italy’s Fiat and conglomerate Koc Holdings – has announced plans to make a new budget model from 2007.

Code-named D200, a third of the 60,000 cars to be manufactured annually will be exported to Europe. The car will be given a Turkish name and will also be made in Brazil and China.
