  • VANMAKER Iveco UK has appointed David Burke to the new position of product director. With over 30 years’ industry experience in the UK and Europe, Burke will lead a product planning and development team. Before joining Iveco, he was with MAN ERF UK and before that at Scania and Leyland Daf.

  • ANDY Rowe has joined commercial vehicle repair firm A&R Vehicle Services as managing director. He joins from the Suttons Group and started his career with NFC in 1980. He has also been group fleet services director for Christian Salvesen. Rowe replaces Trevor Rushworth, who is now chairman of the group.

  • STEVE Rigby has been appointed to the newly-created role of operations director at motor claims management firm Broker Assistance. He has worked for Littlewoods Retail and Reality Group and prior to joining Broker was head of operations at RAC Claims Services.

  • MONDIAL UK Automotive has made Aimee Charlwood its sales coordinator. Responsible for developing new business, Charlwood joined Mondial three years ago, in the call centre. She spent two years in sales support and will be supporting the business development managers on new business projects.

  • KEVIN Butler has joined repair firm Sika’s industry division as key account manager in the automotive aftermarket sector. Butler brings extensive technical and specification experience, having previously worked for Denmark-based Casco Products, recently acquired by Sika. His responsibilities include supporting and growing Sika’s established presence in the UK’s automotive aftermarket glass replacement and crash body repair market segments.

  • APD automotive, the motor industry development company, has recruited two new members of staff. The company has appointed Anne-Marie Griffiths as head of client services and Roy Peace as head of training and development.

    Griffiths has more than 10 years’ leasing industry experience. Her previous roles have included management and development of staff, supplier and customer relationships together with project management.

    Peace, with more than 40 years in the retail motor industry, has gained experience at all management levels, including group managing director, and has worked with most major manufacturers and their dealers, in the UK and mainland Europe.

  • RENTAL giant Vanguard Rental has appointed John Donnison to the newly-created position of director, airport markets. Donnison will be responsible for the growth of business at airport locations across the UK. His charges include Vanguard subsidiaries National, Alamo and Guy Salmon Prestige Rental. He joins Vanguard after seven years at Manchester Airport Group. In his new role, Donnison will be based in Manchester and oversee operations at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Luton airports.

  • COMMERCIAL transport firm Transrent has promoted Dave Williams to operations director. The appointment is the latest in a series at Transrent as group managing director Tom Hart reshuffles his executive team. Williams joined Transrent in 2001 as UK operations manager, responsible for maintenance, cost control, property and insurance. He has also worked for TIP for 20 years, the last five of which were spent as European sourcing manager.

  • THE commercial operations team at Renault has a new manager, Tamsin Williamson. She will be responsible for a 50-strong team, managing, developing and implementing new strategies, and began her career with Renault in 1989. Since then she worked with AFN Audi and Inchcape Motor Retail.

  • SATELLITE tracking firm Satamatics has announced the appointment of Peter Brown as executive chairman. Brown has extensive experience in the defence and telecommunications industries gained over the past 20 years. This included 12 years with Marconi, ending as executive vice president, business operations.

  • TEESIDE-based rental firm Reflex Vehicle Solutions has welcomed Steven Crofts as fleet maintenance manager. Crofts previously worked for Northgate as a workshop manager at their sites in Derbyshire and Plymouth. Reflex announced plans last year to more than double its 17-strong workforce in Stockton and re-located to larger office premises.
