Dodge Ram to hit British shores

FLEETS with a penchant for raw power will be queueing up at their local Chrysler dealers in October when the Dodge Ram pick-up is launched.

This American muscle truck is the most powerful and fastest production pick-up ever and features the 8.3-litre V10 engine from the Dodge SRT-10 supercar.

It produces 500bhp and 525 lb-ft of torque, topping 150 mph and reaching 60mph in just over five seconds. UK-spec cars will feature a full-length truck bed tonneau cover, 22in alloy wheels, leather heated seats, side airbags and a rear window defroster.

This super truck will also be joined by the Dodge Ram 5.7-litre 4x4 Laramie, which with a towing capacity of 3336kg.

The Laramie is priced at £25,995 ex-VAT and the SRT-10 is £37,995 ex-VAT. Just 50 vehicles will be imported.
