Darling replaced

TONY Blair’s latest cabinet reshuffle has produced a new Transport Secretary to replace Alistair Darling.

Douglas Alexander (pictured) has been named Secretary of State for Transport and Secretary of State for Scotland, with Darling moving to the position of Trade and Industry Secretary. Before entering Parliament Alexander, MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, worked as a solicitor.
