LEASING and fleet management company Zenith Vehicle Contracts has announced a 5% profits increase to £3.35 million for the 12 months to the end of March.

Turnover was up by the same percentage figure to £61 million and the results are the first announced by the company since a management buyout in summer last year.

Chief executive Andrew Cope said: ‘Our result for the year was restrained by costs associated with the management buyout and the implementation of changes following a major strategic review of the business.

‘Nevertheless, this was a pleasing result in the light of current market conditions.’ The company also revealed its fleet size had increased by 14% to 14,000 vehicles.

It also saw its accident management fleet grow by 40% year-on-year to 15,000 vehicles.
