Hydrogen safety views sought

VIEWS of fleet managers are being sought by the European Commission for a standard for the safe operation of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. A public consultation is being staged until September 19. This would incorporate hydrogen technologies into the European Union’s (EU) vehicle type-approval system, which involves detailed compulsory manufacturing rules for any vehicles sold or used in member states and would ‘contribute to the confidence in the new technology for potential users and the public at large’.
