Fleet careers: CV

JACK Pryde, fleet manager, Dunfermline Building Society

How many vehicles are you responsible for and how long have you been in the fleet industry?

I have just over 70 cars on the fleet and have been in the industry for 12 years.

What made you join fleet in the first place?

My line manager at the time devolved the job to me and I then evolved the job as part of my wider job duties.

What is the best part about the job?

Achieving the win-win result where the driver is happy with the car and it is within budget.

What is the worst thing a driver has done?

Trying to avoid telling me they have hurt one of my cars.

What was the first thing you did at work this morning?

Gave thanks for having a job that I enjoy.

If you were Transport Minister, what policy would you introduce?

If I were a green-minded Minister, get a more reliable and economic rail system in this country. If not, at least cap the size of the dirty cars.
