All change for Wakefield van fleet

SOCIAL housing provider Wakefield and District Housing has revamped its fleet operation and is taking on 300 vans.

The company has also moved its fleet from finance lease to contract hire after awarding a supply deal to Lombard Vehicle Management (LVM).

Deliveries of the new van fleet, made up of Ford Transits and Connect vans and tippers, have started and all will be in place by the middle of next year. More than 60 of the vehicles are supplied on sale and leaseback.

The contract is on a three-year cycle with the option of extending the contract for a further year.
