Rush is on for Roomsters

DEMAND for Skoda’s Roomster (pictured) has prompted the manufacturer to set up a third production shift at its Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic.

The company said it now planned to produce more than 20,000 Roomsters by the end of the year. Martin Jahn, Skoda Auto board member for HR responsibility, said: ‘The combination of modern design, innovative interior elements, excellent handling characteristics and a number of smart solutions show we have chosen the right direction.’
