JULIE Jenner has been elected as the new ACFO chairman. She was unanimously elected to the post by her fellow board directors.

Fourteen years after joining ACFO to ‘increase my fleet management knowledge’, Jenner says one of her key roles is to further strengthen ties with fleet decision-makers at the operational level.

"I have implemented many solutions to perplexing issues and gained so much fleet information through my ACFO membership over the years. As a result I have become more and more involved in the organisation as I could see the huge benefits," she said.

"Fleet management continues to evolve and a raft of different issues continue to confront fleet operators and other employees with responsibility for cars and light vans. ACFO’s nine regional groups provide numerous networking opportunities for these people to discuss topics and problems with each other and discover and then implement best practice solutions."

A number of new projects and initiatives designed to benefit ACFO’s 850 members are in the pipeline including the imminent redesign and relaunch of the ACFO website - www.acfo.org. - that will include a number of new features.

Jenner joined ACFO’s East Anglia region in 1992 where she subsequently held the posts of secretary and then chairman. She was elected to the ACFO board in 2003.
