Jaguar has made a raft of revisions to its slow-selling X-type range for the 2008 model year.

On sale next March, the revised saloon and estate models receive some styling tweaks including a new front bumper, re-profiled side mouldings and mesh grille.

Inside there are new trim levels and materials, plus the availability of a DAB digital stereo and enhanced Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity.

The new range also heralds the arrival of an automatic diesel version, with a six-speed transmission paired with the 2.2-litre diesel engine.

Prices start at £21,500 for the 2.0-litre diesel saloon.
