Mitsubishi and Subaru have revealed details of their two four-wheel drive range-topping rally replica models.

Mitsubishi’s Evolution X, which goes on sale in the UK in February alongside the new Lancer saloon range, will offer around 280bhp from its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine.

Subaru’s Impreza WRX STI, due to go on sale in the UK in March, is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-litre boxer petrol engine also pushing out around 280bhp.
