BMW has revealed the first details of the new 1 Series Convertible.

The convertible features an electrically-operated fabric roof that opens or closes in 22 seconds. It can also be operated at speeds up to 25mph.

It will be available with five engines – the 118i, 120i, 125i and 135i petrols and the 120d diesel.

All models will come with BMW’s EfficientDynamics fuel saving technology.

BMW hasn’t announced prices or the on-sale date yet.
