Using the Masternaut telematics system Help-Link UK has been able to monitor the movements of its service engineer and installation vehicles.
Managers have seen a reduction in out of hours usage, implemented a proactive maintenance programme and seen a marked increase in operational efficiencies.
Neil Barron, director of Help-Link UK, said: “Using Masternaut we can manage the mobile workforce ensuring maximum productivity and continued customer satisfaction while minimising costs.
“The Masternaut service has seen a 10% reduction in vehicle running costs. Both through improved efficiencies achieved in the course of our day to day operations and also as a result of reduced personal use of company vehicles.
"Changes to the rules governing the use of company vans for private mileage could have a significant impact for our staff, however using Masternaut we can easily distinguish between business and personal use.”
