How many vehicles are you responsible for?
I control a fleet of more than 100 light commercial vehicles and car-derived vans, of which 83 are leased, 16 are rented and 13 are company owned. What is your favourite part of the job?
The best aspect is that I never have two days that are the same. This means I am always prepared for the unexpected to happen at any time. And the bit you least enjoy?
It is difficult trying to keep up with all the new or changing regulations and making sure our driver handbook is always up to date. Is yours a 9-5 job?
Primarily yes, but you never know what is around the corner. If a breakdown does occur you can guarantee it is always just before it is time to go home. Have you completed any specific fleet training?
I have completed a two-day fleet management course, along with driver health and safety guidance. What is your favourite film?
