Automated quote to order system launched

A web-based system designed to automate the vehicle quotation to order process for contract hire and leasing operators has been launched by CAP in partnership with Bynx.

‘CAP Quote powered by Bynx’ provides a range of benefits ranging from greater cost efficiency to reduction of vehicle configuration errors.

The web-based application plugs directly into existing legacy systems without the need for costly alterations to the customer’s IT infrastructure.

The system was developed in conjunction with end users so that new contract corporate tenders can be created rapidly and accurately.

The system also eliminates the possibility of vehicle configuration errors - significantly reducing the need for service staff intervention, which is currently required for around one in five initial customer orders.

“Our partnership with Bynx has delivered a modern web-based quotation and fleet policy solution. It allows our contract hire customers to drive growth and increase yield by providing a rental quotation and configuration tool to their own customers easily and quickly.

“Uniquely, this solution puts the fleet policy and driver customer at the heart of the process, unlike existing solutions that revolve around the vehicle alone,” said CAP managing director Rupert Keane.

Among the features of the system are:

  • Automated vehicle quote to order - reducing the amount of contract hire leasing company intervention when quotes change/don’t work. Industry average is currently six quotes to one order for every company car driver

  • Elimination of vehicle configuration errors thanks to full integration of CAP’s New Vehicle Data option relationships format. This means CAP Quote powered by Bynx can only build deliverable cars. Research shows currently one in five cars cannot be processed to conclusion due to misconfiguration

  • Permanently up-to-date information removing the need for drivers to wait for new vehicle details

  • A clear and simple web interface for user chooser customers

  • Fully integrates with existing contract hire leasing legacy back office systems using the latest SOA (Service Orientated Architecture) methodology. This allows easy and fast deployment and reduces the impact of IT workload/development

  • Fully definable customer branding for integration with existing customer interface

  • Full focus on high level driver satisfaction

  • Allows the contract hire leasing company to provide a solution to a new customer within hours of winning the contract
  • Fully CAP web-hosted solution with outsourced management removing the need for costly upgrades

  • Only builds cars that can be factory ordered (reducing build errors)

  • Flexible client ‘rate book’ management

  • Used by end users who will have a customer specific view, only allowing them to build within their policy and able to change factors that may affect the rate (reduces duplication and administration burden for contract hire leasing companies)

  • Helps contract hire leasing company sales team to win new customers through this service and switch web-quote on immediately
