BT enjoys 40% reduction in fleet costs and collisions

BT has cut its fleet costs and vehicle collision rates by 40% after its 50,000 drivers completed an occupational road risk training programme.

Since 2002, IAM Fleet has been assisting BT with its scheme to reduce occupational road risk.

BT runs the largest single vehicle fleet in Europe and has been using Virtual Fleet Risk Manager (VFRM) to assess its drivers at the rate of 10,000 per annum.

BT uses the VFRM assessment to grade its drivers as low, medium or high risk. Those labelled as high risk are automatically referred for training.
