Careers: Settling in

Tony Grove, product manager, Arval

It’s been almost six months – how are you settling in?
Very well – I’ve got to know most of the names and faces and people have got to know who I am and what I do.

What has been the highlight of the job so far?
Having my plan for further developing Arval’s LCV business approved by the Arval Executive after only six weeks.

And the lowlight?
No real setbacks – you always want things to progress as quickly as possible, but any enhanced service takes time to develop.

Is the job what you expected it to be?
The job is proving to be something I can really get my teeth into.
How is the market changing?
With increased focus on environmental and duty-of-care issues there is pressure on the van fleet operator to keep their fleet up to date.

Do you expect to continue your career in the fleet industry?
With a manufacturer and dealer network background I’ve still got a lot to learn, and contribute, in fleet. So hopefully, yes.
