How many vehicles are you responsible for?
I currently look after 85 vehicles, which are all contract-hired. I also look after 50 cash-allowance users.
What is your career background?
In administration, as a PA and latterly in HR. I became facilities team leader in August 2006 and I am responsible for the fleet and the building.
What was your first job?
After the paper round that a lot of people had, I became a YTS marketing assistant in Wellingborough. I earned £25 a week – how did I survive?
What do you most enjoy about your job?
The satisfaction when I solve my drivers’ numerous queries and also the fact that my drivers know I am approachable.
What was your first company car?
Believe it or not, I’ve never had one. I’ve had the occasional demo car and the first one of those was a Rover 200.
What is your favourite city break?
A weekend in London to see a show and then have dinner.
