New penalties

NEW penalties for drivers caught using handheld mobile phone come into force from Tuesday.

Those caught will get three penalty points and a £60 fine. The law also includes the same penalty for drivers using a hands-free phone who are deemed by the police not to have proper control of their vehicle.
