RENAULT UK has launched its first-ever fleet website at www.renaultfleet.co.uk.

The site has been specifically created to cater to the specialist needs of its fleet customers and is filled with unique features to give fleet managers an ‘extra pair of hands’ in the office.

The interactive site is laying a firm foundation on which ‘Renault Commitment 2009’ will be built.

The initiative, which is spearheaded by Renault Group President and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn, aims to achieve an operating margin of six percent by 2009 and in the process move an additional 800,000 vehicles worldwide. This will be achieved in part by focusing on the inherent quality of the Renault range, with the flagship model Laguna aiming to establish itself as one of the top three models in its category.

Keith Hawes, Renault UK’s Director of Fleet & Commercial Vehicle Sales, commented: 'The most important job for Renault Fleet in 2007 is to communicate the quality improvements on the new Laguna to fleet operators, contract hire and leasing companies and the wholelife cost operators.

Mr Ghosn’s ambitions are big, but we are all committed to them and fleet has a major role to play.'

Prior to the website launch, Renault conducted a survey of fleet operators of varying sizes, asking which online features would be most beneficial. The resulting feedback has helped create a site that is by far the most interactive and informative in the industry.

Beyond being a reliable source of industry news, the Renault Fleet website boasts numerous unique features. By following a simple registration process, users can access restricted areas where they can view safety guides, tax calculators, servicing costs, historical price guides and fleet management software free of charge.

Users can also access a selection of fleet management systems supplied by Chevin Fleet Solutions, which provides fleet managers with unique online tools to manage their fleet. The software can be used for both car and van fleets, and users do not have to be existing Renault customers to gain access to the programme.

Mr Hawes is confident that the website will have a significant impact on the fleet market; “Our new dedicated fleet website further strengthens Renault’s offering of providing our fleet customers with the highest quality of service.”

You can take advantage of the newly-launched Renault Fleet website immediately at www.renaultfleet.co.uk. Via the website, you can also subscribe to an e-newsletter.

Launching in March, it contains a variety of industry newsbites, duty of care items and general Renault Fleet information.
