  • How many vehicles are you responsible for and how are they financed?

    We have 2,650 vehicles. As part of the Aviva committee, we cover a further 2,000 rescue commercial vehicles, 3,500 driving school vehicles and 1,100 bodyshop courtesy vehicles.

  • What is your fleet history?

    I joined the motor industry from a career in internal combustion engineering in the Royal Navy in 1975. Since then, I have spent time in car and truck rental and leasing, guaranteed buy-back programmes, corporate fleet management and car engineering.

  • What advice would you give someone joining the industry?

    In general, covering the industry from a multi-discipline basis is the best way of keeping the flame alive.

    What is the best career move you have made to date?

    Getting into the car rental game when funding through short-term buy-backs was the new kid on the block in the early eighties.
