MITSUBISHI has launched a new fleet servicing plan that is being rolled out across its nationwide network of dealers, offering reduced cost work.

The Fleet Service Dealer Programme, for which all Mitsubishi’s 145 dealerships are eligible to sign up, offers a labour rate of £50 plus VAT per hour or a discount of 20% on the retail labour rate, parts priced at 20% less than retail prices, a maximum booking lead time of seven working days and a courtesy car provided in line with retail customer standards.

Mitsubishi’s aim is to boost fleet business with a focus on contract hire, and also to provide a better support nework for fleet customers to help service retention levels.

Andy Wertheim, Mitsubishi Motors UK’s manager – fleet and used car sales, said: ‘So far, we’ve got 56 dealers who have signed up to the programme, giving us a very good national spread.’

Mr Wertheim said Mitsubishi was planning to sell about 10,000 vehicles into fleet this year, with the majority being contract-hired.

The remainder will be made up of a couple of thousand courtesy cars and around 750 specialist vehicles such as L200 and Shogun off-roaders provided to groups like the Highways Agency, National Grid and blue-light fleets for which Mitsubishi can create bespoke conversions.
