A DETAILED briefing on the financial impact of yesterday’s budget will be part of a major conference focusing on financial and corporate risk on May 15.

The Fleet News Risk in Fleet conference will feature presentations from HM Revenue & Customs policy advisors. Elizabeth Ward will provide an overview of key changes during the event, held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, and her colleague Liz O’Donnell will also be available to answer questions.

Environmental risk, such as rising fuel costs and restricted access to cities, will be covered, with former Fleet News Award-winning fleet manager Keith O’Connor, now director of transport consultancy and fleet efficiency specialist FleetSolve, taking the stage.

Much of the day will focus on accident reduction and driver safety and other issues include the writing of fleet risk policies, how to adapt fleet policies to improve driver safety, managing drivers, getting management to listen and managing opt-out drivers.

  • A number of major fleets have already booked their places through the dedicated website www.fnspringconference.co.uk.
