MARK Thomas, business development manager, Carsite
How have the first few months as business development manager been?
Busy and rewarding. What challenges have
you faced?
The biggest challenge is to change the mindset of the big fleets who dispose of the majority of their vehicles through traditional trade routes. You’ve worked in the industry for several years. Did you always envisage this career?
This has certainly been a logical step forward for me having previously worked with physical and electronic auction environments, although not one I had planned. Are you following a
career path?
Not necessarily a career path, but certainly a goal. My aim is to turn Carsite into an instantly recognised, high street brand name that is synonymous with purchasing good quality cars online. What motivates you in the morning?
Checking our system and seeing that we have sold another batch of vehicles overnight without any manual intervention.
