MANAGING risk in all its forms is the number one concern for the UK fleet industry and it is the inspiration behind a major conference taking place on May 15.

The Fleet News Risk in Fleet Conference will feature advice and guidance from more than a dozen of the industry’s foremost fleet experts covering financial and corporate risk.

Already, more than 100 delegates have signed up to attend the event, which will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, and will be chaired by James Langley, of the Institute of Car Fleet Management.

The whole day will focus on providing case study-based advice to fleets, with a number of senior fleet managers taking part to show how they have successfully managed the issues.

Much of the day will be focused on risk management and reducing fleet accidents but there will be a range of other subjects covered, including the financial challenges created by the budget, environmental risks, and the financial risks of the smoking ban.

Speakers will represent organisations such as HM Revenue and Customs, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IAM Motoring Trust, Thatcham, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, Fleetsolve, Smokefree England and Tesco and will include a number of Fleet News Award winners.

  • Full details of the conference are available on the dedicated website www.riskinfleet.co.uk, including a full biography of the speakers and a detailed timetable for the day.

Delegates can also book tickets online, or they can call event organiser Sandra Evitt on 01733 468123 or email sandra.evitt@emap.com.
