Wednesday woe

COMPANY cars on the road between 5-6pm on a Wednesday are more likely to have an accident than at any other time during the week.

Studies of more than 30,000 crashes in 2006 by incident management firm Accident Exchange showed this to be the most dangerous time with 17.8% of accidents happening.

Brian Gregory, chairman and founder of the Association of British Drivers, said: ‘Perhaps thoughts are not on the task of driving but on last weekend or plans for the upcoming one.’
