Emergency fleet boosted

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has added 43 new vehicles to its fleet.

The Renault Master ambulances join its overall fleet of 500 patient transport vehicles, used to transport NHS patients in the areas of Cheshire, Merseyside, Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Each specially-adapted Renault Master is fitted with an air-operated suspension system which has the ability to lower the rear end to allow easier passenger access to the vehicles. They were supplied by Renault dealer JDS Trucks.
