Media giant Sky has started the first UK trial of B30 biodiesel vans in its commercial fleet.

The firm is testing 160 of the Vauxhall Vivaro vans, which run on a mix of 30% biodiesel and 70% diesel. It is hoping the project will cut emissions by 20% compared to the most efficient diesel-only vans. It will be extended to the rest of the 1,600-strong commercial fleet if successful. Also, 70 Sky managers have had their diesel vans swapped for hybrid cars.
