SEAT has signed one of its largest ever fleet deals with a contract to supply 1,200 Ibiza superminis.

The £11 million deal will see the Ibiza 1.4 Sport models used as bodyshop courtesy cars at Solus, a division of insurer Norwich Union. The cars are being supplied on a two-year contract hire deal.

SEAT is aiming to increase its fleet penetration, and so far fleet sales are up 13% year-to-date.

Andy Webb, SEAT’s head of fleet and business sales, said: “This deal is indicative of the level of success we are now experiencing in the fleet market.

“Our strong residual values mean that customers can choose a higher specification car for the same money they would pay for a more spartan competitor, which is exactly what Norwich Union found with this deal.”
