Spyshot: Audi Q5 spotted

Audi is obviously determined to keep its forthcoming Q5 small SUV under wraps during its development around its factory in Ingolstadt if this test car’s over-the-top disguise is anything to go by.

But underneath the sackcloth disguise is a sleek five-seat SUV (see artist’s impression, below left) that will go on sale in 2008 to join the existing Q7 model.

Audi is developing the car with Porsche, which will call its version the Roxster. The Q5 is based on the platform of the new A4 model that will be revealed next year and will come with a range of FSI petrol and TDI diesel engines.
