Hybrid choice for ALD pool

Contract hire and leasing group ALD Automotive has taken delivery of 65 Honda Civics, including 18 hybrid models.

The vehicles, which will run on a six-month/12,000-mile replacement cycle, will be part of PoolFleet, ALD’s flexi-lease programme, and form part of ALD’s green strategy.

Adrian Temple, operations manager of PoolFleet, said: “The Civics are the first hybrid vehicles to join our fleet. We have added them because of the increasing number of requests from customers to help them reduce their carbon footprint.

“Additionally, many employees drive into central London and the Hybrid Civic is exempt from the London congestion charge so helps reduce fleet costs.”
