How many vehicles are you responsible for?
We have 27 vehicles on fleet, which is small but quite demanding.
How did you get into the fleet industry?
By accident. I started my job as PA to the group chairman, which involved organising a spreadsheet with the company vehicles we had at the time. It extended from there.
What has been your greatest challenge so far?
Learning about vehicles and leasing companies. As I don’t drive, I have learnt as I’ve gone along.
Which bits don’t you like about the job?
I hate enforcing rules as there’s always someone that doesn’t like them. New legislation means lots of additional rules for drivers.
What motivates you to come to work in the mornings?
The people. I work with a great bunch who all want to enjoy the time they spend here, so we try to make it as fun as possible.
What music do you like listening to?
All different types, but my favourite band of all time has to be Earth, Wind and Fire.
