Sat-nav helps

The number of injured or sick animals successfully rescued has increased after an animal ambulance service introduced satellite navigation to its fleet.

Wildlife Northern Ireland installed ALK Technologies’ CoPilot Live satellite navigation system and FleetCentre which enables the group to track ambulances and dispatch new rescue calls.

As a result the group has more than doubled the number of calls it attends in a day.
