Rugged look for new Cherokee

Jeep’s brand new Cherokee will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week.

Due in the UK in May next year, the 4x4 has more rugged exterior styling and revised suspension, and boasts an updated 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine.

Inside, storage space is increased and comfier seats are promised, plus the unusual option of a full-length canvas roof.

“The optional Sky Slider full-length canvas roof is sure to attract customers wanting the open-air benefits of a convertible combined with the space and safety features of a family SUV,” said Peter Lambert, managing director of Chrysler UK.

The Chrysler Group will also unveil the all-new Grand Voyager and Sebring Cabrio, as well as the Dodge Journey MPV.
