The majority of company car drivers polled in a recent survey said they would be willing to switch their current company vehicle for a greener alternative.

More than two-thirds (67%) of drivers would consider something more environmentally friendly and drivers of higher status vehicles were just as likely to consider a switch.

John Earnshaw, managing director of Vox Pops, which completed the research on behalf of Human Resources magazine, said: “It may only be guilt but fleet drivers are keen to do their bit and make a change.

Many companies already realise this, but the research suggests that if even more did so this would be welcomed and not resisted.”
