Mercedes-Benz has revealed the first pictures of its new C-Class estate before it goes on sale in the UK next summer.

With engine and trim levels mirroring those of the saloon, the estate offers nearly 150 litres extra luggage space over the model it replaces.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the car can now accommodate four sets of golf clubs and trolleys or, which will be handy for a booze cruise, 44 drinks crates each holding six one-litre bottles.

Among the innovations are a one-touch electronic tailgate and the Easy-Pack load-securing kit which allows the boot area to be sectioned off into various size areas.
