The latest version of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Road Death Investigation Manual, which the police use to investigate fatal and serious road crashes, has been published.

The manual has been criticised for failing to provide information to fleet managers so that they could prepare fully should one of their drivers be involved in a fatal collision.

The manual can be downloaded (by agreement with the manual’s publishers) from the Transafe Network’s website - www.transafenetwork.com.
