British motorists are more likely to have an accident this week following the change from British Summer Time, according to Direct Line.
Last year, the car insurer received 15% more claims after the clocks went back compared to the preceeding week.
Maggie Game, head of car insurance at Direct Line, said: “Darker conditions result in slower reaction times, greater braking distances and poor depth perception.”
